Fluval - Aeration
Additional aeration of the aquarium can in some cases improve the water quality and the well-being of the aquarium inhabitants. In rare situations, a large plant mass and a lot of stocking can even cause an oxygen shortage overnight, as plants produce oxygen during the day with sufficient lighting, but also consume it again in the dark. Some fish species, but also shrimps and even microorganisms, benefit from oxygen-enriched water. Fish in particular acknowledge the high oxygen content with splendid colours and vitality. The air pumps Q-1 and Q-2 as well as the aerator pumps A202 and A402 from Fluval enable the oxygen enrichment of aquariums up to 600 litres capacity and are discreet and highly effective.
