Description
This especially beautiful variant of the Madagascar laceleaf is traded under the name "Aponogeton fenestralis". It belongs to the variety Aponogeton madagascariensis var. major. Its leaves have a broad shape, the leaf tissue is reduced to the thin nerves, thus forming a delicate lattice structure with regularly arranged, quadrangular perforations.
The forms of Aponogeton madagascariensis originate from cool, fast flowing, permanent rivers in Madagaskar. They prefer cooler water below 25 °C, good water movement, CO2 supply and nutrient-rich bottom. Medium lighting is sufficient.
Aponogeton madagascariensis is normally delivered as a bulb without leaves that will sprout in the aquarium. Please note that the bulb that you will receive may be still leafless.
