Description
This beautiful Bucephalandra variant probably comes from the Lamandau region in southwestern Borneo and is propagated in nurseries. It is often labeled as Bucephalandra sp. "Lamandau" only.
It resembles the "Brownie" and "Theia" forms and has longish-oval leaves with wavy margin. The leaf blades get about 4 cm long and 1,4 cm wide. The submerged leaves show bright purple hues. Bucephalandra sp. "Lamandau Purple" has a creeping, branching growth habit, and with time it develops a carpet on rock or wood.
