Description
The Chihiros CO2 Regulator Mate is a reliable CO2 regulator with a solenoid valve and Bluetooth controller for aquariums, allowing precise control of CO2 supply. The set includes a pressure gauge for pressure display, a bubble counter for dosage control, and a solenoid valve for automatic CO2 shut-off, such as during the night. Additionally, a Bluetooth controller is included, allowing the solenoid valve to be controlled via the “My Chihiros” app. This control works easily and conveniently via a Bluetooth connection.
The regulator is designed for use with refillable CO2 cylinders with a W21.8 thread – a common standard for CO2 cylinders in Europe. The robust construction ensures long-lasting durability and reliable operation.

Application
Follow these steps for the safe setup of the CO2 regulator:
- Turn the pressure regulator fully counterclockwise and close the needle valve clockwise until it stops, indicated by the “OFF” mark. At this point, any additional Chihiros bubble counter blocks should be attached.
- Tighten the bubble counter block and fill the bubble counter chamber with water.
- Attach the regulator to the CO2 cylinder and hand-tighten only. Do not use tools, as this may damage the regulator housing. A pressure-resistant CO2 hose should be attached at this point.
- Connect the solenoid valve cable to the power plug and plug it into an outlet.
- Open the CO2 cylinder’s gas flow fully.
- Turn the pressure adjustment knob clockwise to set the working pressure; 25 PSI is recommended.
- Adjust the needle valve counterclockwise to set the desired CO2 output until CO2 bubbles are visible in the bubble counter chamber.
It is important to securely attach all additional CO2 accessories before operation and review instructions if uncertain.
