Description
Cryptocoryne albida, also known as C. costata, is a narrow-leaved relatively small crypt from the south of Myanmar and Thailand. It is closely related to Cryptocoryne crispatula. C. albida has long been known in the hobby, it is a rather easy-to-care-for plant. There are several variants with more green or more brown in the submersed leaves.
Cryptocoryne albida is distributed in southern Myanmar and Thailand. It is a highly variable species belonging to the group of Cryptocoryne crispatula. Different forms are known from aquarium culture, some of them green, some of them brownish in colour. In nature, these forms are known to occur in the same populations.
