Description

The CO₂ Flipper is an optically interesting alternative to conventional CO₂ diffusers and is suitable for aquariums of any size in the various designs available. Instead of diffusing the CO₂ into the water in the form of many small bubbles, the CO₂ bubbles migrate up a staircase and give off the gas into the aquarium water on their way up.

Application

After installation, the CO₂ Flipper requires a running-in period of approx. 2 days. At first no single bubbles will migrate up the stairs, but will unite to larger bubbles, which will cease after a natural biofilm has formed on the stairs. The individual bubbles are now passing upwards and into the collecting tray, releasing CO₂ into the surrounding water until only waste gas remains.
