Dennerle Carbo Bio Start is a reliable organic CO₂ fertiliser system that effectively supplies freshwater aquariums up to 80 litres with vital CO₂ and supports the growth of healthy, strong plants. The series comprises two variants: the Carbo Bio Start 60 for aquariums up to 60 litres and the Carbo Bio Start 80 for aquariums up to 80 litres.

Both sets offer quick and easy start-up - CO₂ production starts after just 24 to 48 hours with just a few simple steps. The Carbo Bio Start 60 is equipped with a CO₂ mini topper, while the Carbo Bio Start 80 works with the CO₂ micro flipper. Both have an integrated Paffrath bowl that absorbs the CO₂ as a gas bubble. For optimum CO₂ distribution, it is important that the area around the topper is well aerated so that the CO₂ diffuses efficiently from the gas bubble into the water. This ensures an even and needs-based CO₂ supply without additional technology such as pumps or atomisers.

The Paffrath dish is a low-maintenance and cost-effective solution that gently increases the CO₂ content of the aquarium without the risk of overdosing. The CO₂ consumption of the aquarium determines the quantity and speed of CO₂ absorption, so that the gas only dissolves as required. To ensure an efficient supply, the bowl is matched to the respective aquarium size. As the CO₂ release is purely passive, the Paffrath bowl is particularly suitable for aquariums in which a moderate CO₂ supply is sufficient.

In addition, the Carbo Bio Start 80 offers an extended service life as it contains two gel cartridges that provide up to 80 days of CO₂ fertilisation. These differences make the Carbo Bio Start series flexible to use and offer a suitable, effective and sustainable solution for supplying CO₂ to both small and medium-sized aquariums.
