Dupla Ground Nature Ice Stone is a natural substrate for freshwater aquariums, featuring distinctive, angular stones and cool colour nuances ideal for an icy layout. With a grain size of 16 - 25 mm, the stones in cool blue tones and grey shades evoke the majestic beauty of cold glacier lakes, giving any aquarium a fresh, modern look. These angular stones not only create an impressive aesthetic but also provide optimal conditions for the growth of aquatic plants and the well-being of fish.

The right choice of gravel is crucial for the successful operation of an aquarium. The different grain sizes of the substrate perform various functions in the aquarium, promote plant growth, and contribute to a natural appearance of the aquarium. They also support the natural behaviour of fish by creating territorial boundaries.

The substrate provides plants with a suitable medium in which they can securely root and find sufficient support. The angular stones allow for the transport of essential nutrients to the plant roots. A combination of Depot Mix active and Dupla Ground Nature Ice Stone creates the best conditions for strong and healthy plant growth. The use of an undergravel heater, such as the Dupla Thermik Set, is also supported by the correct grain size of the gravel, as it allows for good heat and water circulation.

Dupla Ground Nature Ice Stone is not only ideal for plants and fish but also for aquascaping or decoration in aquariums, terrariums, and paludariums. Before use, the substrate should be rinsed with cold tap water to remove any transport-related abrasion. A layer thickness of 5 - 8 cm above the nutrient substrate has proven to be optimal.
