Description

The EHEIM MEDIA SETs include fine / coarse filter pads, mechanical and biological filter media. The porous material becomes evenly soaked with water and traps large and small dirt particles. After a short start-up period purification bacteria, which provide intensive biological decomposition of harmful substances, colonise the specially structured foam. The fine and coarse filter pads are reusable many times over. To clean them simply rinse and squeeze out, so that the bacteria cultures are not completely destroyed.

This EHEIM MEDIA SET included EHEIM MECH as prefilter material and EHEIM SUBSTRATpro as an optimised bio-filter medium. It is running with EHEIM professionell II 2026/2126. The EHEIM MECH is a prefilter material from hollow ceramic rings for trapping large dirt particles. The EHEIM SUBSTRATpro is an optimised bio-filter medium with perfect volume usage, long intervals between cleaning and top decomposition performance. This filter mediums are also suitable for fresh and marine warter. They are washable and can be reused.
