Description
Epipremnum pinnatum 'Cebu Blue', often known as 'Cebu Blue' Pothos, is a fascinating climbing plant from the Araceae family, originally from the tropical forests of Southeast Asia. This species is characterized by its attractive blue-green leaves, which give it an almost metallic appearance. As an epiphytic plant in its natural environment, 'Cebu Blue' is adapted to life in the treetops, where it clings to bark and enjoys high humidity and indirect sunlight. In the terrarium it thrives best under similar conditions: high humidity, indirect light and a support structure to grow up.
Within a terrarium, 'Cebu Blue' not only provides visual appeal through its unique leaf coloration and shape, but also helps to improve air quality by filtering pollutants from the environment. Its pinnate leaves, which develop with age, and its ability to produce inflorescences when properly cared for are rare in terrariums, but fascinating aspects nonetheless. The flowers, should the plant produce any, are typically small, inconspicuous and of a greenish-white color, which contrasts with the vibrant leaves. These characteristics, along with its ease of care and hardiness, make Epipremnum pinnatum 'Cebu Blue' an outstanding choice for terrariums that want to mimic a tropical or subtropical environment. It blends seamlessly into the terrarium landscape and provides a calming, green oasis that is pleasing to the eye and promotes well-being.
