Description
Fluval's Activated Carbon consists of the purest bituminous activated carbon with the excellent property of adsorption. The fine granules have a large porous surface and fine internal cell structures. The chemical filter medium enables the adsorption of organic waste, dyes, medications and odours. This ensures crystal clear water in the aquarium. Fluval Activated Carbon does not affect phosphate levels and can be used in all standard filters. For best results, Fluval recommends replacing the filter media every 4 weeks. It is available in 3x 100 g bags or in an 800 g container and can be used in freshwater and saltwater aquariums.

Note
Fluval recommends:
For optimal purification, it is recommended to replace Activated Carbon every 4 weeks!
Activated Carbon, especially when it is new, can remove some trace elements that are found in many liquid plant fertilisers.
It is recommended to wait at least a week or two after replacing the activated carbon in the filter,
before adding liquid plant fertilisers to the tank.
