Hobby Carbon aktiv is a high-performance filter material that has been specially developed to improve the water quality in aquariums. This high-quality filter medium is highly effective at removing drug residues, chlorine, organic waste and unpleasant odours from the water. It ensures that harmful substances resulting from the conversion of organic substances are effectively filtered out of the aquarium water.

Hobby Carbon active should not be used while fish are being treated with medication so as not to impair the effect of the medication. For optimum effectiveness and safety, it is recommended that the filter material is used for a maximum of three weeks, as otherwise there is a risk that previously filtered toxins could be released back into the water.
Before use, it is important to actively rinse Hobby Carbon with warm water to remove any residues. Using the filter material in a HOBBY mesh bag is particularly practical and makes handling in the aquarium filter easier.
