Hobby Hygro System

The Hobby Hygro System is an external unit that supplies a terrascape or paludarium with humid mist. The water filled in is converted into a fine mist with the help of ultrasound and thus increases the humidity. The Hygro System can be filled with 4 litres of water, preferably osmosis or demineralised water. The flexible hose is used to direct the mist into the layout at any point.

Hygro System has a digital control that adjusts the amount and time frame of the humidity supply. In any habitat, the humidity can vary depending on the time of day and the season. With the digital control, adapted plans for optimal humidification of the plants are possible. A total of 6 different humidification intervals and 3 humidification strengths are available. Epihytes and emersed aquatic plants in particular depend on high humidity.

Hobby Hygro System is placed outside the aquascape or terrascape and does not take up any space in the layout. Thanks to the large water reservoir, even large scapes can be humidified without any problems.

The fogger should not be operated for more than 8 hours without interruption. The ceramic membrane of the fogger is a wearing part and must be replaced after a certain time depending on the water quality. If the fog decreases or fails completely, the membrane needs to be replaced .

Warning notes:

• This device is not suitable for persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities unless they have been properly instructed or are supervised by a person responsible for their safety. Children must not play with the device.
• Read and follow all safety instructions before and during the use of the device. Failure to do so may result in damage to the product or injury.
• DANGER: To avoid the risk of electric shock, exercise caution as this device uses or comes into contact with water. Do not attempt to repair the device yourself; have it repaired by an authorised service centre or dispose of it.
• Do not use the device if the power cable, adapter, or device is damaged, malfunctioning, dropped, or otherwise impaired.
• Create a "drip loop" in the power cable below the socket or connection to prevent water from running along the cable and coming into contact with the socket. If the plug or socket gets wet, DO NOT unplug it. Turn off the circuit breaker or fuse first, then unplug the device. Inspect the socket for water afterwards.
• Avoid touching moving or hot parts to prevent injuries.

General notes:

• Always disconnect the device from the power supply before performing maintenance, installing or removing parts, or installing the device. Never pull on the power cable to unplug the adapter – always grasp the adapter directly.
• Always disconnect devices that are not in use from the power supply.
• Never lift the unit by the power cable.
• Use the device only for its intended purpose. Using accessories not recommended or sold by the manufacturer may result in unsafe operation.

Installation and usage notes:

• Do not install or store the device in locations exposed to freezing temperatures. Do not expose the unit to direct sunlight.
• Ensure the device is placed on a flat, level surface. Regularly check the device for proper operation.
• Do not leave the device unattended for extended periods.
• If an extension cord is required, ensure it is waterproof, dustproof, and meets the power requirements of the device. An undersized cable may overheat. Ensure the extension cord is positioned so that no one can trip over it or accidentally disconnect it.
• This device is intended for household use only and not for commercial purposes.
• To prevent corrosion and material wear, which could lead to electric shock, use the unit only with freshwater (preferably reverse osmosis or demineralised water). Do not add chemicals or medicinal substances to the water used in the unit.
• Do not operate the nebuliser near devices sensitive to high humidity. Do not touch the membrane while operating, remove the hose connector, or place a finger on the hose connector without an attached hose.
• Do not immerse the nebuliser in water.
