Hobby Terrano Red Bark is a particularly absorbent substrate made from high-quality Douglas fir bark, ideal for semi-humid to rainforest landscapes. The substrate is characterised by its excellent moisture storage capacity, which regulates the humidity in the terrascape as required. This creates optimum conditions for all moisture-loving plants such as mosses, ferns and many tropical plant species.
The natural ability of Douglas fir bark to store moisture and release it evenly reduces the need for frequent watering and makes it easier to maintain the Terrascape. This means that the climate in the Terrascape always remains optimal.
