Hypoestes phyllostachya 'Red', also known as red spotted leaf or spotted deadnettle, is an ornamental plant native to Madagascar that belongs to the botanical family Acanthaceae. It owes its popularity primarily to its striking red spotted leaves, which add a visual accent to any room. Hypoestes phyllostachya 'Red' is particularly valuable as a terrarium plant, as it prefers high humidity and requires semi-shady to bright locations without direct sunlight.
