Description

Neoregelia 'Green Stripe' is an attractive bromeliad cultivar that is the result of crossing various South American species. It belongs to the stemless bromeliads and is characterised by its rosette-shaped arrangement. This variety is characterised by its hardy leaves with striking green patterns, which earned it the name 'Green Stripe'. It needs a bright location, but should be protected from direct sunlight to avoid burns. This bromeliad feels particularly at home at temperatures between 18 and 27 °C and a humidity of 60 to 70 %. Regular but moderate watering is important and the centre of the plant, the so-called water bowl, should always be slightly moist.

Neoregelia 'Green Stripe' is particularly well suited to terrariums, as it makes relatively uncomplicated demands on its environment. While the flower of this plant is rather inconspicuous and hidden in the centre of the rosette, it is the vivid stripe pattern on the leaves that creates a natural and lively picture in any terrarium. Neoregelia 'Green Stripe' is therefore an ideal choice.
