Description
Neoregelia 'Mini', a magnificent member of the bromeliad family (Bromeliaceae), originally comes from the tropical rainforests of South America. As a compact and robust ornamental plant, it adapts perfectly to the conditions of a terrarium and makes an attractive addition. It prefers an environment with bright, indirect lighting and high humidity, similar to its natural habitat in the undergrowth of tropical forests. It is easy to care for as it can collect water in its central rosette, which simplifies the water supply. Its adaptability and small size make it ideal for a variety of terrarium sizes and styles, from small tabletop terrariums to larger, themed installations.
Neoregelia 'Mini' is characterised by its brightly coloured leaves, which are arranged in a dense rosette and offer a spectacular variety of colours ranging from greens and reds to yellows. This blaze of colour is particularly accentuated under optimal light conditions. In the centre of this rosette of leaves, the plant develops small but eye-catching flowers during the flowering period, which stand out with their delicate white to bluish colour. These flowers appear in a water-filled "cup" in the centre of the plant, a natural reservoir that, in addition to its aesthetic appearance, also fulfils practical functions for the plant's water uptake. The combination of vibrant foliage colouring and delicate flowers makes Neoregelia 'Mini' an attractive choice for terrariums, not only bringing a piece of tropical beauty indoors, but also creating a fascinating, natural habitat.
