Description
The Oncidium cheirophorum orchid, known for its lush and vibrant flowers, originates from the high altitudes of Central and South America. In these regions, it typically grows epiphytically at lofty heights, where it receives plenty of light but little direct sunlight. This compact orchid species has adapted to thrive in a variety of environments, making it an ideal choice for cultivation in terrariums. Its care is uncomplicated, which makes it particularly attractive for beginners.
In a terrarium, Oncidium cheirophorum not only offers a stunning visual attraction with its bright yellow flowers with distinctive brown markings, but also a pleasant fragrance. The flowers appear in clusters and can appear all year round under the right conditions. This orchid prefers high humidity and medium temperatures, which are typical of many terrariums, and its size makes it a perfect addition to smaller terrariums too.
