Description

Seachem AmGuard safely, quickly and efficiently binds toxic free ammonia from aquarium water. This extremely potent liquid ammonia binder works within minutes and does not degrade for almost 72 hours. The use of this water conditioner does not alter the pH of the aquarium water. AmGuard is safe to use and ideal for dealing with emergency situations. An additional positive side effect of AmGuard is that it also binds chlorine and chloramines from the water. After application, the bound and detoxified ammonia can be washed out of the biofilter easily.

Long-term ammonia control is recommended in densley inhabited aquariums and can be stabilised using Seachem Stability and Seachem Matrix. To determine and monitor the level of free ammonia in the water, Ammonia Alert can be used.

Seachem AmGuard should not be used when water temperatures exceed 30°C.

Dosage

5 ml (one dosing cap) per 200 litres of water column daily. Dosage can be increased up to 5 ml per 80 litres of water column for high toxic ammonia concentrations.
