Description

The powerful Tetra FilterJet aquarium filters are Suitable for aquarium size with volumes of 50 - 230 litres. They clean the water particularly thoroughly thanks to the combination of mechanical and biological filtration. In this way, both coarse and fine dirt particles are removed from the aquarium water and, at the same time, the biological balance required for an intact aquarium is made possible. Mechanical filtration cleans the water of coarse dirt, e.g. mulm from the substrate can be sucked in, and suspended matter such as algae and dead plant parts. More important, however, is the task of the nitrifying filter bacteria. The helpful bacteria settle on the substrates of the filter and break down harmful ammonia and nitrite into nitrate. This is part of the biological filtration and the natural decomposition process within the aquarium. The internal filter also impresses with its quiet operation. Thanks to the easy installation, the Tetra FilterJets are ready for operation within a few seconds. The adjustable outlet nozzle allows optimal control of the water circulation to aerate the entire aquarium evenly. Another advantage of the Tetra FilterJets is the uncomplicated cleaning of the filter sponge. This significantly reduces the maintenance time of the filter. The filter material should not be cleaned with hot water. This would damage the useful filter bacteria that settle in the filter. Likewise, under no circumstances should chemical agents be used for cleaning. In order to protect the population of filter bacteria in the long term, it is recommended that filter cleaning and partial water changes are not carried out at the same time.

General notes:

Only connect the FilterJet 400/600/900 to a professionally installed power outlet.
Only connect the FilterJet 400/600/900 to the mains if the local supply voltage matches the specifications in the technical data.
Protect the power plug from moisture.
Ensure no moisture enters the socket. Arrange the power cable so that it hangs down slightly in front of the socket.
Never open the housing of the FilterJet 400/600/900.
Always disconnect the pump from the mains before cleaning or performing maintenance.

Handling notes:

Do not allow children to play with small parts. There is a risk of suffocation.
The power plug must be easily accessible so that you can quickly and easily disconnect the pump from the mains in an emergency.
Arrange the power cable so that no one can trip over it.
