Description

Canyon River Sand from the WIOdecor-Sands series by the manufacturer WIO consists of mixed-coloured sand grains and creates orange to light brown colour accents. The grain size is slightly variable between 0,1 - 4 mm.
Due to its natural colour, this type of sand has a very aesthetic effect. It can be effecivly used to create numerous colour accents in the aquarium, design paths or draw river courses.

The scape can be set up with pure Canyon River Sand as substrate, but the warm colour shades make it particularly suitable as decorative sand.

Sand is usually a passive substrate that does not provide nutrients for the aquarium plants. Therefore, when setting up with sand as the sole substrate, the use of substrate fertiliser can be quite recommendable. Fertiliser balls or tablets can be used to enrich specific parts of the aquarium with nutrients, so that especially plants with strong roots, such as cryptocorynes, can benefit from this.
