Description
The willow branches come from the mixed woods of the northern Black Forest and can be used in many ways in any aquarium. This can be the creation of a unique, naturalistic scape for shrimp to climb around and other creatures to swim through, or a food source for crayfish and sucking catfish. The fibres of the wood are an important part of the diet of these limnivores. The organic microfilm settles on the surface of the bark, which is used as a welcome food source.
Willow branches release small amounts of humic substances into the water. They also release salicylic acid, which can help fight algae. Each branch is unique and one of a kind. All branches are shortened to approximately 16 cm and their thickness may vary. The composition of the sets cannot be influenced as they are already pre-assembled. The branches are delivered well dried and, therefore, do not sink to the ground immediately.
