Description
The Zoo Med New Frog Moss is also a decorative moss for the plant terrarium. It can be used for ornamental purposes, but also meets the requirements as a substrate layer. This attractive moss is "brought to life" by the conditions in a terrarium and optimises the climatic conditions through its ability to store water. The moss can be washed and reused several times before it needs to be replaced with fresh moss.
Application
The moss can be used both dry and wet, depending on the requirements of the different environments. Frog Moss can be washed out several times before it needs to be replaced with new moss. The frequency with which it needs to be cleaned can vary depending on the intended use. If a foul odour is detected or there is reason to believe that the moss may be dirty, it should be cleaned or replaced. To clean the moss, remove it from the terrarium and place it in a bowl of fresh, chlorine-free water. The moss should be swirled a little in the water. It should then be carefully wrung out. Repeat the process several times if necessary. The Zoo Med New Zealand Sphagnum Moss should survive 3 - 4 such washes before it should be replaced with fresh moss.
