Description
This special aquarium plant is called "moss ball", however it belongs to the Green Algae. Aegagropila linnaei, also known as Cladophora aegagropila and "Marimo", is an extremely slowly growing algae. It occurs in clean lakes where it forms flat cushions as well as hollow balls rolling about the ground, formed by gentle waves in the shore zone.
In the aquarium moss balls are decorative in the foreground and midground. It is recommended to rinse them under flowing water in time to remove excess detritus. Algae balls have a lot of surface area for microorganisms and are preferred grazing grounds for shrimps.

Healthy beautiful dark greek balls :D They make a great contrast with bright green plants. They may float for 1-2 days, but they sink afterwards. (read more)
I think i get much more smaller than 4-5cm...it was around 1-2 cm but for that price is okey.
But nothing special.
I bought 3 and 1 of them came in with a weird dirty layer on it and algae. Had to rub it off. I hope it wont affect my water.
