EHEIM ecco pro

Unexplainably this filter has lost the water flow power after a month and a half. With the pump chamber and the impeller cleaned, the ball valve crystal clear, a new coarse screen, and a new fine filter pad, filter media, cleaned up, and the hoses cleaned, the outflow is still so low that the skimmer is not working anymore. The filter pump is not creating enough vacuum. I cant revive it. I had to buy another one since the low outflow/inflow started messing up the tank water quality. The same one because the setup space is restrictive. If I could, I would have bought a different model.

If you purchase this model, pay a lot of attention to the Filter Canister. Because of the priming method, the lever applies a lot of pressure on the canister, the plastic is brittle, and if you use to much force or not pulling the lever perfect oriented downwards, you will break the clamps that hold the multifunction lever in place.

I also own an Ecco Pro 200 - it is working for 4 months by now, with 0 maintenance, it is running perfectly

I bought this filter because I read in the reviews that it runs totally silent. Unfortunately, that was not the case for me. The filter is quite audible, even put into the cabinet I can hear it from anywhere in the room.

Maybe it will calm down after a while, but so far its a bit of a disappointment.
