Plants of the genus Hygrophila which are cultivated emersedly can occaisonally show small, firm tissue overgrowths ("pustules") on their upper and lower leave side. These are completely harmless and not caused by pest infestation or disease. On newly sprouted submerged leaves these spots will no longer appear.

Description
A very narrow-leaved variant of Hygrophila polysperma with a nice brown marbled pattern on the upper side of the leaf. Quite similar to Hygrophila sp. "Bold", but with a somewhat less pointy leaf tip. This stem plant is as fast growing and undemanding as other variants of Hygrophila polysperma. It is e.g. suitable for first planting freshly set-up tanks. The emerged form has shorter green leaves.
Hygrophila sp. 'Tiger', named according to its distinct leaf pattern, is one of a literal flood of new plant species that have been brought into the aquarium hobby. It is said to originate from South America, however, as is often the case with new plant species, its more accurate origins remain in the dark. At the moment, it is not available from any aquarium plant company, however, hobbyists (at least those in the USA) trade it and thus its distribution in aquaristics is rapidly on the rise.
Hygrophila sp. 'Tiger' is in many respects quite similar to H. polysperma. It grows to a comparable size, as rapidly (or maybe even faster), and its growth habit is also very much like that of H. polysperma. It is as undemanding and tolerates a great range of conditions. (read more)

A large portion of healthy plants which as usual were delivered quickly and very well packaged. An unusual and interesting specimen.
