Description
Phorax Phosphate Remover from Juwel is a powerful filter medium for breaking down phosphates.
Preventing algae, the filter medium improves plant growth.
Phosphates regularly enter the aquarium water with fish food and are not naturally degraded.
However, plants only need very small amounts of phosphate for their natural growth.
Too much phosphate can possibly be the trigger of an algae plague.
Dissolved phosphates are removed from the water by the aluminium mineral they contain.
This forms a water-insoluble aluminium phosphate with the dissolved phosphate and thus binds them.
Phorax Phosphate Remover binds up to 12 mg of phosphate per gram of Phorax.
