Description
Myriophyllum sp. "Guyana" is an exceptionally nice new plant. This milfoil is characterised by a vivid light green colour and a densely ramifying rather bushy habit, moderate growth and - first and foremost - a low height (shoot width 2-4 cm, leaf length up to 2 cm), which makes it a great plant for nano tanks. Also highly decorative as dense bush in the middle to background of larger tanks. This small milfoil looks very much like Myriophyllum mezianum from Madagascar, however, it has a denser foliage, grows a little faster and seems to be easier in cultivation.
This small milfoil appeared in the aquarium hobby in 2011 at the latest and was introduced by "manini" on www.aquaticplantcentral.com (erroneously as Myriophyllum sp. "Guinea") and on the blog of Vadim Shmelyov (blog.aquaritet.com). The plant was apparently obtained from a dealer in Japan. We have no certain information about the exact origin of this plant, but the trade name possibly refers to French Guyana. To identify the species, we would need emersed, flowering and fruiting plants.
Myriophyllum sp. "Guyana" is an exceptionally pretty plant novelty. This milfoil is characterised by vivid light green colouration, dense, fairly bushy growth, moderate growth rate and, above all, small size, which makes it well suited for nano tanks. It is reminiscent of the Madagascan Myriophyllum mezianum, but is more densely leafed, grows somewhat faster and also seems to be easier to grow. (read more)

Third day after planting, the growth was visible. Although delicate, the plants are healthy and progressing well. The delivery was fast and the shipment was well protected. (read more)
